Very beautiful and warm vision of a beach corner where, from bottom to top, between a seashore and a sky treated with the same blue-green colours tinted with pink, bathers on the sand, parasols, Arcachon tents and a sandy landscape are superimposed.
The body of a tanned bather lying on the sand on his purple towel is the central point of the composition, especially as the other seated bathers seem to surround him from a distance under their parasols, whose oversized multicoloured shapes illuminate the canvas.
But the real feat of this work is the juxtaposition of a multiplicity of colours, warm and cold, dark and light, which take over the forms under the power of a sun that we guess is generous.
