Still life prize at the Salon de l’Union des Femmes Peintres et Sculpteurs.

Private exhibition at the Pellas gallery in Lausanne.

Let us congratulate the young director of this new gallery for having chosen Germaine Lacaze for the inaugural exhibition. This artist, whose various exhibition entries (Indépendants, Femmes-Peintres and Automne) we have appreciated, knows how to establish a picture in a measured style. She also knows how to really paint it. Her still lifes and landscapes are “beautiful pieces of painting”. For this, in addition to the knowledge of the craft, she needs to possess a “little something” made of sensitivity, love and sincerity.

Lacaze’s last exhibition dated back to 1939, at Barreiro’s. We hope to see one in Paris soon.

We particularly notice one painting, a landscape of Castille which proves to be perfect, composed and drawn with care, translating a personal and seductive vision, and coming from a very harmonious palette.
