An almost abstract view of a beach, where tents, pine trees and bathers serve as vehicles to bring together a whole harmony of colours and shapes in an overheated ether where the vibrations of heat dissolve shapes and colours.

The sand of the great dune and its shadows bathe the canvas in a milky yellow colour, from which emerge in the lower part of the canvas the geometric shapes of the beach huts and in the upper part a few pine trees brushed in a few dark strokes.

A mirage created by the configuration of a dune straightening the perspective of the sandy ground in the stifling atmosphere of a summer on a beach in Arcachon, the artist transfigures the banal reality of an Atlantic beach into a fantastic dimension where only the alignment of warm and cold colours and a few triangular shapes resist.
