Shapes and colours mix in this hypnotic view of an Arcachon beach, where tents with multicoloured stripes, squeezed side by side at the bottom of the canvas, are submerged by a dune and its shadows, in the upper part, under a dark blue spray of some stylised pines.
Even though the colours seem to resist better than the shapes, the intense heat blurs the view. The stifling atmosphere of summer is there.
A bright red triangular sunhat on the silhouette of a sitting bather seen from behind brings our eye’s excursion to a close.
